14 June Offers Lake Murray's Small Boaters
a Picture Perfect Day on Lake Greenwood
Lake Murray members towed nine boats and jet skis to Lake
Greenwood for a picture perfect day of boating on Saturday 14 June. Well,
picture perfect for eight vessels and 24 of the 25 folks along for this day
trip. You see, we started the cruise off by towing P/C David Allen back to the
ramp — debris once again clogged the
carburetors on Soul Mate and P/C Debra Allen enjoyed the sunny day aboard the
much more comfortable Almost Heaven with Linda and Eddie Richardson. And, yes,
they did let David ride too — after all he was
leading the cruise and knew the lake better than the rest of the members who
went on the trip.
It was a relaxing run on Lake Greenwood that ended with lunch at
Harris Landing Restaurant, which featured a tiki bar. Yes, a tiki bar;
well, judge for yourself in the pictures below. And, though David took us under
some low bridges and over some low water everyone came home safe and sound.
