Oyster Roast 2008 — What a
Day, What a Meal!
Lake Murray's members could not have asked for a more beautiful
day to enjoy oysters and shrimp than 9 February. The oyster roast, typically
held in January and known for rainy, cold weather, even became the first boating
event as several folks arrived at the Lake Murray Boating and Sports Club by
boat. Speaking of which, many thanks to P/C Elmer Williamson, JN for arranging
our location. With 160 participants, we would have overloaded our facilities at
Flotilla Island. As you browse through the photos below, just think: We consumed
140 pounds of shrimp and 14 boxes (60-pound boxes) of oysters. Click on the
