Kicking Off Lake Murray's
New Watch Year in Style

Our new leadership, who were elected at the squadron's annual meeting on October 18, were sworn in by National Administrative Officer David Allen. Thanking everyone who contributed in making 2025 a successful year, outgoing Commander Mike Charles sang his farewell tune and dismissed his bridge. Vice Commander Allen swore in Commander John Klein who expressed his honor at being elected to lead Lake Murray, an organization he described as being "something special." Standing with him while he took his oath of office was LMPS' new First Lady, Anna Klein.

Joining Cdr Klein as members of the 2026 Executive Committee are:

  • K.T. Tripathi, Executive Officer

  • Brian Warman, Educational Officer

  • Donnie Browning, Assistant Educational Officer

  • Natalie Barnhill, Administrative Officer

  • Becky Weiler, Secretary

  • Cathy Urquhart, Treasurer

  • Melody Charles, Assistant Treasurer

  • Dennis Rankin, Member-at-Large

V/C David Allen swears in Cdr John Klein, who is accompanied by Anna Klein

Following Saturday's Change of Watch, Lake Murray's annual Commander's First Cruise took place Sunday. Members gathered at Flotilla and boated to Martin's Landing for lunch followed by a raft-up and a beautiful sunset for the boat trip back to our home docks.
